Sugar side view.jpg

Sugar is my own personal horse and the first one I ever trained.  When I started her at 3 years old, she was terrified of people because of the last person that had worked with her.  She would go so far as to charge you to get you away. Now, at 10, she has years of trail experience, several ribbons from trail trial events. There are few horses I trust more than her.

Zeus line driving.jpg

Zeus, a three-year-old Quarter Horse/Arabian, was the first stud I'd ever trained and was eager to learn.  He did have a biting problem originally. I started him from the ground up and was the first to get on him. Once under saddle, he is happy to do what you want.  He has gone on to win 2 yellow ribbons in western pleasure events.

I also started Estrella from the ground up at 9 years old.  She is an Andalusian/Azteca. When I started working with her, she was confused but caught on to what I wanted her to do quickly.  When I first got on, it was very much the same. She is unbelievably sweet and is now able to be ridden on streets and trails alike.

A 9 year old Andalusian that needed a tune up. It was more teaching her owner how to ride and work with her than it was actually having to retrain her. Her biggest problem was getting too excited and wanting to go fast.

Riding Red (2).jpg

Red is a 5 year old Thoroughbred who had some attitude problems before I started working with him due to him not liking having a wound treated. He'd caused his owner to be afraid of him but has since mellowed out again and acts like big sweetheart. He will let just about anyone get on and ride him.

Simmy and Sorry.jpg

Two Shetland ponies, one 5 years old and the other 2, who the owner wanted to do carting with. Simmy, the older one, already knew how but needed a tune up and Sorry has never carted before.

Untitled

A 5 year old Quarter horse/Thoroughbred who had never been ridden and had no manners. She learned to respect personal space fairly quick and did not take long to learn to listen while being ridden. She is currently being ridden by her owner, a 9 year old girl.
